Lou Granva, Restaurant by the Lac de l’Abbaye

Our restaurant by the Lac de l’Abbaye serves local specialities and other delicious dishes made with ingredients from the Franche-Comté region. Our chef Raphaël Piot, who was born in the region, is the fourth generation of his hotel-restaurateur family.

Typical cuisine from the Jura

Whether you’re staying at Lou Granva or planning a meal out with that special someone, book a table at our restaurant! You’ll love the restaurant’s views of the Lac de l’Abbaye, its welcoming feel and its efficient, attentive staff. Local produce from Grandvaux takes centre stage here: choose from a wide range of flavourful dishes that are sure to tantalize your taste buds, including fresh crayfish, chicken with morel mushrooms and Limousin beef which is boned at your table.

The dishes on both the set and à la carte menus change to reflect the seasons, our kitchen staff’s moods and the latest trends. As such, the restaurant at Lou Granva serves a choice of grilled meats and salads in the summer sunshine, game in the autumn, comforting cheese fondues to help you to cope with the harsh winter temperatures and frogs’ legs in the cool springtime air…

Local ingredients, freshly prepared dishes

Our chef knows the region and its producers like the back of his hand – indeed, he’s known some of the restaurant’s current suppliers for several generations, since they are the children or grandchildren of his father’s or even his grandfather’s suppliers. It’s impossible to overstate how important it is to Raphaël Piot to cook with quality ingredients. As such, he always works with the same poultry farm in Bresse and the same cheesemonger, right next to the restaurant.

Savour the delightful aroma and delicious texture of perch fillet with butter and a morel mushroom crust or, if you’re more of a meat-eater, opt for the traditional dish of chicken with morel mushrooms, served with vegetables and a potato gratin which always goes down well with the restaurant’s regulars! Vegetarians have plenty of options too and are bound to find something to their liking from the dishes which have been created especially for them.

Open for lunch and dinner, the restaurant at Lou Granva, which can be privatised on request, serves traditional cuisine from the Jura region in an inviting dining room. You’re sure to enjoy your meal here with friends or family.
